What to expect on your first visit

Written for people who have never been anywhere like this, and would rather not have to ask.

Almost everyone who rings us for the first time asks some version of the same question, usually after a pause: what actually happens? It is a fair thing to want to know, and it is a shame that most places in this line of work are vague about it.

So here it is, plainly.

Booking

You ring, or you send a WhatsApp. Tell us roughly when suits you and whether there is a therapist you would like to see — if you have no idea, say so and we will suggest someone. There is no deposit, no account to create and no booking fee. If you need to change it, ring and change it.

Arriving

The drive is set back from the Codicote Road, and the parking is in signed bays on site. Come to the door and someone will let you in.

Five or ten minutes early is plenty. If you would rather sit down with a cup of tea for a bit first, there is somewhere to do that.

Getting undressed

You will be shown to a private room and left alone to undress. Your clothes stay in the room with you. There is nowhere else you need to walk and nobody else you will see.

This is the part people build up in their heads, and it is over in about ninety seconds.

The massage

Your therapist will come in, ask whether anything in particular is bothering you and whether you want firmer or lighter pressure, and then get on with it. She will be naked too — that is what makes it a naturist massage, and it is why the strokes run from start to finish without stopping to rearrange a towel.

Talk if you want to. Most people manage about five minutes of conversation and then go quiet, which is fine and expected. The hour you booked is the hour you get; nobody is watching a clock on your behalf.

Afterwards

Shower if you would like to, and dress in your own time. There is nothing to settle at the end — you pay in cash when you arrive. Nobody will rush you out of the room and nobody will try to sell you a course of six.

The bit nobody asks out loud

If you get an erection: it happens, it is involuntary, and every therapist here has seen it several thousand times. It is not embarrassing and it does not change anything about the massage.

And if at any point you want to stop, say so and it stops. No explanation required.
